Taanaji – The Unsung Hero was announced a year ago but it has taken a while for the film to go on floors. However, now that it has kicked off, it has gone ahead in full swing. And now, celebrating the start of 2019, the makers of the film went on to reveal yet another look of Ajay Devgn from the film.
Fierce and powerful, the new look showcases the immense courage that reflects in the eyes of the warrior Subedar Taanaji Malusare. Although one cannot get a glimpse of the face that is covered with the cloth of the turban, the eyes say it all! Director of the film, Om Raut shared a picture of the look on January 1 and said, “Happy New Year!!! Har Har Mahadev!!! @ajaydevgn @TanhajiFilm.”

For the ones who are not aware of the bravery of Taanaji, the General Chief of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Army was not only the king’s trusted aid but is known for his strong warrior and strategy skills. He has fought many wars alongside the Chhatrapati but he is known most for his bravery in the battle of Singhad against the Mughal Chief Jai Singh.
Taanaji kicked off in September earlier this year and is produced in association with T-Series. The film is expected to be made on an extensive budget and also features Saif Ali Khan who is reuniting with his Omkara co-actor after years. The Sacred Games actor has already started his prep for the film and reports have it that he may even go shirtless for the film.
Taanaji – The Unsung Hero is expected to release on November 22, 2019.
